Last Day

Steven getting hydrated for the day!

Steven's attitude has been much better this week.  He is not wanting to go through the chemo, but also wanting it to be done!  He is now losing his eyebrows and eye lashes and sooo tired of being bald.  The ringing in his ears and noise being amplified is hard to deal with.  His feet are still giving him problems.  Now he is very anemic, due to the chemo.  Thursday, he has his nadir visit to see if he will need a blood transfusion.  He isn't able to do much this week.  Hasn't made it to work, because of tiredness, being light headed due to the lack of red blood cells.  Please pray that his lack of oxygen to his body, wouldn't affect his organs and that his body will start producing more red blood cells so that he doesn't need a blood transfusion!

This week he has been more alert, while going through chemo.  He did take a couple naps, but I think it helped being distracted and having more interesting things to do.  We received a visit from Denis, for a couple hours.  Thank you Denis for coming and visiting with us.

Steven got to ring the bell at the end of his treatment!  Praise God!  May 18th, was Mikaela's Birthday and the last day that he will need chemo.  He was the last one to leave the treatment area, since he had to be there all day.  Nurses would come by to say goodbye before they left for the day.  So he got a few people to clap as he rang the bell.
