Tumors In Our Bodies

Pastor Terry was drawing an illustration a couple Sunday's ago that we all have tumors in our body.  We have Christ as our surgeon to remove those tumors.  Thank you God for removing the tumors from our lives and helping us to realize when we still have tumors left.  Thank you for healing!!!

Yesterday we had our presurgical appointments, to help us to get ready for Wednesday.  Lots of blood work and then the surgeon ordered a CT scan, which will take place today at 10 a.m..  Something we were excited about as we have been praying for another scan.  The surgeon also explained that at the tumor board meeting the surgeons discussed that this could possibly be an inflammatory reaction due to the chemo.  Praying the scan comes back clear.  It will be awesome to see what God will do with this one.  We are praying for the obvious, but want to have God's peace with whatever the outcome is.

We are nervous about this operation but know the Lord has our best at heart.  As Pastor Terry said on Sunday, "Everything is filtered through God's hands."  We have been so blessed with all the love and support that we have received through this process.  Thank you to everyone. Your prayers and assistance have been so awesome.  To receive what you know you are not worthy to receive is beyond words.  Christ has used you all as faithful vessels to take care of us.

This last Sunday we were able to see Jennifer's parents, Tim and Karen.  It was only for a couple of hours but it was great to see them.  While we have some pretty awesome family at church, but we have missed our family back in Colorado.  The girls love playing with grandparents.  Tonight Mikaela was telling me she wanted to go to "Grandma's House".  I asked her which one was she talking about.  She said Grandma Sheryl, Grandma Karen, and Grandma Penny.  Elyssa chimed in "me too".   The girls definitely miss all of our family in Colorado.

Thank you Don for watching the girls as we went to our appointments.  It makes it less stressful to not have them there.

We were able to do one more camping trip with friends.  Thank you to Annie, Ryan and Kim for loaning us camping gear.  Thank you Tom, Lori, Aaron for inviting us along for an awesome trip.

Two nights and two and a half days of relaxing and enjoying wonderful company and the girls got friends to play with!  Camping should happen more often!

We were able to make it back Saturday.  After a whole bunch of dirt got washed down the drain, we headed out to Mary's graduation party.  She was a wonderful godly example in Elyssa's life as she taught Sunday school class for the second graders.  Now she is heading off to a Christian university and will be greatly missed!

God we thank you for all you do in our lives!  Thank you for restoring a marriage years ago that almost ended in divorce.  Thank you for the 13 years we have been married as we celebrate our anniversary today.  Lord continue to work through our lives that we may glorify you in all that we do.
